Help this super cause bring the wonders of the outdoors to those who have been cut off from such opportunities for health reasons of all sorts, so they, too, can share the glory of Mother Nature’s beauty, & fun, year round in the Maine High Peaks!

How to do it CV style!!! All it takes to get something done is determination, collaboration, unity of purpose & a desire to have fun while improving life for our region…. Carrabassett’s unique ability to work with a variety of groups over the years has made it the destination it is for year-round recreation, & great place to live for those of us lucky enough to do so! Thanks to the fifty plus people who turned out during Christmas break for a brain-storming session at the library… here is Town Manager Dave Cota introducing the event:

World Snowboarding Day w/ the World’s Best Snowboarder!!!
OK, so we may be a little biased, but 2 Olympic Gold Medals pretty much puts anyone on the BEST List, for sure! The whole planet is celebrating the 10th annual World Snowboard day on this weekend to introduce new people to the snowport, and celebrate the camaraderie among riders. The weekend event will feature a free showing of the Transworld Snowboard’s new movie, Origins, & discounted learn-to-ride lessons for beginners, plus free snowboard demos at the Burton Signature Store (say Hi to our guy Jonny!), as well as an ollie contest on The Beach. Only at Sugarloaf will two-time Olympic snowboardcross gold medalist, Seth Wescott, be hosting group rides regularly throughout the day!
