Canoe camping and yoga on the Allagash

Last spring we had two local Maine Guides, Lani Love, owner at Allagash Canoe Trips, & Kimberly Truskowski, a Kripalu yoga teacher, on our Mountain Report to invite viewers to come explore the incredible gem that the Allagash wilderness is this summer/fall! There is still time to sign up for five days of peaceful canoe camping and yoga on the legendary Allagash. Dates are September 10-14, find Lani & Kimberly on Facebook.

Spurwink Fundraiser & Dinner in the Dark at the AOEC

Carrabassett’s new Adaptive Outdoor Education Center is a fantastic place for creating heart warming moments & memories for people of all ages with all sorts of disabilities, to enable them to get out into the great outdoors that we all love! Autistic children benefit from the Spurwink on the Slopes program with specially trained ski instructors bringing the joy of our favorite sport to children who haven’t had that experience. A Grand Opening of the new faciltiy will be on Feb. 6 with afternoon tours & the Dinner in the Dark event that evening. Circle the date & get your tickets on line: http://www.adaptiveoutdooreducationcenter.org/ This fully accessible facility includes a Lodge and Large Yurt on two acres of land to provide a variety of recreational and educational programs and experiences in Maine’s great outdoors!
