A nice easily accessible spot to take your canoe, kayak or paddle board. Launch your boat at the boat launch in Stratton off rt 27. Paddle left, or West, heading up the river. This Maine High Peaks Scenic By-way rest stop is not only beautiful, but it’s got great cell reception!!!! Flagstaff Lake, the Bigelow Range for a view, & the Kennebagos when you turn around!!! Best place to catch the setting sun……….
