Enjoy the Maine High Peaks from a different point of view; Snowmobile!
The local snowmobile clubs in the area are those to thank for the great riding we currently have. Mostly volunteers, they’re out grooming, cutting back brush, maintaining signage and much much more. Whether you use the snowmobile trails for XC Skiing, Fat Biking, Snowshoeing or of course Snowmobiling, support the hard work that goes into the trails by joining a club. Carrabassett Valley Town Lot and bridge project
We had a chance to sit down with Bob Carlton from Freeman Ridge Forestry who also happens to be a consultant for Carrabassett’s town lot and forestry plan. There is also an expansive bridge replacement project in progress. Things have changed a bit here at the mountain regarding parking. A new skier drop off has been established, more handicapped parking is available, a moved 60 minute parking area and more attention in general paid towards parking.
