Go for a Paddle: Outlet of the South Branch, Dead River

From the boat launch off route 27, just north of the Village of Stratton, is where the South Branch of the Dead river flows into Flagstaff Lake. Watch for Eagles, Turtles and other wildlife as you meander up the Dead River. Paddle until it gets too shallow to go up river any further. On your return trip enjoy great views of the Bigelow range.
