WSKI’s Guest: Bike Coalition of Maine
Carrabassett’s emerging reputation as a destination for mountain bikers is attracting more visitors in the warmer months, & WSKI is always on board with any organization who encourages outdoor activities such as biking, SO we invited Nancy Grant to be our guest to share news about BikeMaine, an event offered by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, a nonprofit organization with more than 5,000 members working to make Maine better through biking and walking. Although the event does not encompass our region, we support the “Get Outside” message! BikeMaine is a fully-supported, seven day cycling tour held in mid-September; cyclists pedal an average of 55 miles per day along moderately challenging terrain from Maine’s rocky coastline, to the foothills & lakes inland to Bethel.
