February 1st, 2020 was the date for the annual Carrabassett Fat Tire race at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. This year conditions were prime for the 4 lap 20 mile race or the 2 lap 10 mile race. Fatbiking is a great way to enjoy the area with lots of specifically groomed singletrack, snowmobile trails as well as limited riding at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. Take a Hike: Cranberry Peak
Cranberry Peak is the western most peak of the 17 mile long Bigelow Range. About 6 miles round trip, it’s a great hike to give you a taste of what hiking on the Bigelows is like.
