We’ve had a lot of rain this summer. When it hasn’t been raining it’s been hot. What do we do? We find a cool place to get in the water and cool off. Here’s a look at a short walk to an amazing waterfall not too far off the beaten path. Check it out, and don’t get it confused with the Huston Brook Falls located in Carrabassett Valley, that one is currently off limits due to landowners’ request.
Driving directions to trailhead:
From Kingfield take route 16 towards North Anson. Once in North Anson continue on route 201A/16 north. Follow route 16 to Bingham staying on the West side of the Kennebec River. Continue straight onto Ridge road where route 16 crosses the Kennebec river. The Ridge Road becomes the Pleasant Ridge Road. After a few miles you’ll come to the Transfer Station on the right side of the road. Park here and follow the signs to the falls.
