Between Kingfield and Carrabassett lies a very special spot. A short .6 mile hike leads you to a spectacular waterfall along Reed Brook which originates from Shiloh Pond and feeds into the Carrabassett river. A local Maine Guide has put lots of work into creating a safe parking area and well maintained trail reroute to maximize the experience of the falls. A great adventure for the whole family. Directions to the trailhead:
Approximately 4 miles north of the village of Kingfield off rt27 the parking area resides at 1082 Carrabassett Drive. Be respectful of this area as a local business and residence shares this space. Follow the signs to the falls and please practice leave no trace.
