Fall is one of the best times to get out and enjoy the scenery on an ATV. Leaves are changing, the dust is down and the weather is cooler. The Carrabassett Valley ATV club has done tons of work around the valley connecting and maintaining existing trails, building new trails and well as improving sections to better one’s riding experience. It’s a great way to get out and explore the Maine High Peaks Region for sure!
We recommend parking at the Carrabassett Valley Multi Use Trail head. It’s located at the north end of the Carrabassett Airport and just behind the Sugarbowl. To get to the Carriage road from the parking area, take the trail south and cross rt27. Head south and you’ll soon come to an intersection and taking a left will have you crossing rt 27 again and onto the Carriage road.
