End of season update: Carrabassett Mountain Bike Trail Crew
We caught up with the Carrabassett Valley Trail Builders to get an update on what’s been done this summer. The mountain bike trails continue to impress year after year. The guys are doing world class work. Huge thanks go out to the town of Carrabassett Valley and the Carrabassett Region chapter of the New England Mountain Bike association for making this trail creation possible. Oak Knoll MTB Trail; take a ride!
Just off the Narrow Gauge Pathway in Carrabassett Valley is the Oak Knoll mountain bike trail. This trail came to fruition through a partnership between the town of Carrabassett Valley, Carrabassett Sanitary District, Carrabassett Region NEMBA, Maine Huts and Trails as well as Sugarloaf. As Carrabassett Valley’s miles of mountain bike trails grow & get more popular every year, here’s a reminder of the days when the Mountain had mountain biking DOWNHILL style… made only more fun w/ damp & foggy conditions for mud & slick cruising for this version of a wicked fun gravity sport, not for the faint hearted or those afraid of more than a faceful of dirt!!! If you’re coming up to Carrabassett Valley and like to mountain bike you need to check out the trails in the area. The past few years the mountain bike scene has exploded thanks to the construction of miles and miles of both hand built and machine built single-track trails. There is truly something for everyone here in Carrabassett.
