Nordic Programs at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center
They say if you can walk, you can Nordic ski. But, it may be a bit awkward at times, even frustrating, exhausting or perhaps even not very much fun. Well well well, that’s where the Pros at the Sugarloaf Outdoor center slide in. Years and years of teaching and experience enjoying the sport both classic style and skate skiing, they can get you having fun out on the trails. The 2023-2024 ski season has begun!
Warm temps made for some spring like conditions on the mountain for opening day. After a week of cold temps the snowmakers were able the cover Tote road top to bottom as well as Lower Timberline and Kings Landing. The Terrain Park crew were also able to form an early season park on Upper Tote. The Superquad and Timberline lifts were running and it’s always a treat to ski from the top early in the season. Homecoming info from the Sugarloaf Lift Dept.
During our Homecoming show earlier this month we caught up with Josh Plourde from the Sugarloaf Lift Department. He gives us some details on the new surface lifts on the Birches, the new Bucksaw Express as well as some initial thoughts on the new parking areas off the Access road.
