Skiing the Steeps with Perfect Turn

The good folks over at the Sugarloaf Ski & Snowboard School are back with another Pro Tip. This week they’re giving advice on just how to navigate the fast and sometimes icy conditions we’ve been encountering this winter. That’s all well and good, but perhaps soaring and spinning through the air isn’t quite your cup of tea. Rent Snowmobiles in Stratton & Find Another Reason to Love Winter!

There’s tons of great winter activities here in Maine’s Western Mountains. Just take a short trip into Stratton, a mere 7 miles north of Sugarloaf’s Access Road and you’ll find Flagstaff Snowmobile Rentals. Tom LeMont, the friendly proprietor, will get you on your way, cruising through the hundreds of miles of trails that zigzag through Maine’s famous North Woods. Guided Tours are also available for those who prefer a local to share some of our magic places & offer all kinds of additonal information & enjoyment along the way! Tom sat down with us recently to expound on the many exciting aspects of snowmobiling in Maine.

Seth Wescott & Alex Tuttle: December update

Over the Holidays, local snowboardcross heroes, two time Gold medalist Seth Wescott & up & coming local Alex Tuttle share their thoughts on the season so far, their results, & what’s ahead, with our viewers. These guys are not only tops in the world when it comes to the hard-charging sport of Boardercross, but they are both guys who are ‘tops’ in our book as residents of our region! As local kids, now grown & successful on the  international stage as first-class athletes, both Seth & Alex continue to call our region “Home” & we are proud to have them respresent us wherever they go, however they place!
