Shiloh Pond Community Forest

September 2, 2025 by WSKI

Shiloh Pond Community Forest in Kingfield is home to two ponds and a waterfall, all accessible by foot on generally easy terrain. The ponds are fly fishing only and are home to native Brook Trout. A blue blazed hiking trail takes you to a waterfall via a nice woods hike that’s just under one mile (one way)…

Driving directions to trailhead: Follow Tufts Pond road, off route 27 in Kingfield until it turns to dirt. Continue to a left hand turn onto Shiloh Pond Road. You’ll soon reach the parking lot and Kiosk. In the winter months Tufts Pond road is only plowed until just after the road turns to dirt. You’ll then need to hike to the trailhead from there.
