Once located down in the Valley at Valley Crossing and trucked up to the mountain, (back when there was little traffic of route 27) it has been home to a variety of local businesses. Narrow Gauge Pathway: Fun for all.

The Narrow Gauge Pathway in Carrabassett Valley is a 4 season non motorized pathway along the Carrabassett River. Following the old Narrow Gauge Railway line, winter activities include snowshoeing, Dog Walking, Fat Biking, and XC Skiing.
