Rangeley Snowmobile Club’s Snodeo: wicked good fun for all ages!

Casino night, chili & chowder cook-off, snowmobile demo rides, family rides, radar run, poker run, displays and vendors, children’s activities, canoe sleigh rides, Rave X show, parade, fireworks! We love winter, come celebrate it with us in Rangeley Jan. 22-24, 2015.

Snowcross Action from 2012 in Carrabassett

We must be getting itchy for winter!!!!! This one-off event for all ages was a blast for those who got to watch the fast action & big air tricks of the East Coast Snowcross participants in this race at the Carrabassett Valley airport. Take a Hike! West Kennebago mountain

Located just about an hour’s drive from the Sugarloaf region and 20 min. from downtown Rangeley is West Kennebago Mountain. This is a moderate hike taking about 3.5 hours with its summit elevation topping out above 3700 feet. Driving directions to the Trailhead from Rangeley: Take Route 16 west from Oquossoc (toward Wilson’s Mills) 4.8 miles to the dirt road on the right (Morton Cut-off Road). Go 3.2 miles and take a right at the intersection. Travel 5.3 miles to the trail. The trails is marked with a sign and red blazes.

The Rave-X Outer Limits Tour at Sugarloaf. They Came, they saw, they jumped!

If you missed all the high-flying action of the SnoCross and RAVE-X Outer Limits Tour this past weekend, don’t worry, because WSKI’s cameras were there to catch all the jumps and stunts! There was a huge wall of snow in front of the Base Lodge as a giant crowd poured in to watch the snowmobilers careen over it. There was some pretty impressive action, including a backflip!
