Sugarloaf Mountain Bike Festival 2016

The inaugural Sugarloaf Mountain Bike Festival was a huge hit. Mountain Bikers from all over came to Carrabassett Valley to ride the trails, try out a demo bike, enjoy some live music and much more. Group rides, clinics, movies, food and beer as well as camping were just a few of the things offered. 2017 Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge

We got out this past Saturday to grab a few shots of the 50K race. The morning started with rain and the riders dealt with some muddy conditions. By the afternoon the sun had come out as most racers headed toward the finish. Huge thanks to all the volunteers and racers as well as the town of Carrabassett Valley for putting on a great event. End of season update: Carrabassett Mountain Bike Trail Crew

We caught up with the Carrabassett Valley Trail Builders to get an update on what’s been done this summer. The mountain bike trails continue to impress year after year. Oak Knoll MTB Trail; take a ride!

Just off the Narrow Gauge Pathway in Carrabassett Valley is the Oak Knoll mountain bike trail. This trail came to fruition through a partnership between the town of Carrabassett Valley, Carrabassett Sanitary District, Carrabassett Region NEMBA, Maine Huts and Trails as well as Sugarloaf. New singletrack off the Newton’s Revenge trail

The town of Carrabassett is in the process of producing some new singltrack along the Newton’s Revenge trail which leads up to the Stratton Brook Hut.
