Sen. Angus King on the Sugarloaf Charity Summit
Thousands & thousands of dollars have been raised over the years at Sugarloaf to help find a cure for cancer, through the Charity Summit, an event that grew from the Jimmy Fund’s Celebrity Cup, to donate to Maine research & care facilities. One of the Honorary Chairs of the event is Maine’s Senator & ex- Governor Angus King, who paid us a visit to share w/ our viewers why he remains involved with this worthy, but really fun, event.
Rangeley Lakes Trails Center
The Rangeley Lakes Trails Center is located nestled on the side of Saddleback Mountain with 55 km of mapped trails for XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and mountain biking. It is the home of the Rangeley Lakes XC Ski Club, dedicated to providing an exceptional Nordic ski experience since 1995. With an annual snowfall approaching 200 inches, superb snow conditions plus fantastic terrain and grooming make Nordic skiing here a wonderful experience for novice to expert. There’s also have a growing network of scenic single-track trails for snowshoeing and a rustic Yurt serves as the lodge. Rangeley Snowmobile Club’s Snodeo: wicked good fun for all ages!
Casino night, chili & chowder cook-off, snowmobile demo rides, family rides, radar run, poker run, displays and vendors, children’s activities, canoe sleigh rides, Rave X show, parade, fireworks! We love winter, come celebrate it with us in Rangeley Jan. 22-24, 2015.
