The Rail Jam scheduled for Friday night is now camcelled due to the lack of extra snow available to set up the rails on the Beach; but the Moonlight Tour to Bullwinkle’s will be a great time early Friday evening for all who wish to enjoy that unique event. Note Kip’s First Tracks report: pretty amazing turn around for conditions after such lousy weather, so THANK a Snowmaker & Groomer if you see any because without them, we’d be REALLY hurting this season!!! THINK SNOW!!!

2nd Annual Sugarloaf Fat Tire Race and Festival February 5-7!
Our friends from the Carrabassett Region NEMBA were our guests on the Mountain Report to talk about the upcoming event, building on the success of last year’s event, Sugarloaf is hosting the 2nd annual Fat Tire Festival this weekend. There will be a three-part on-snow race held on Saturday morning, a dual-slalom race Saturday evening, and a Frozen-Fattie guided group ride on Sunday. There will also be demo bikes and guided rides during the day on Saturday and a Fat Tire Festival party Saturday night at the Widowmaker with prizes, movies and music.
