Sugarloaf Ski Club

October 28, 2020 by WSKI

Bruce spoke with Greg before Homecoming about how the Club has been affected by COVID’s interruption last March, & its plans to keep helping kids ski & ride regardless of lost fundraising opportunities since then. The Sugarloaf Ski Club has been an integral part of Sugarloaf Mountain since cutting the first trail on the mountain back in 1950. Their Mission is to provide the opportunity for all youth to participate & excel in skiing & snowboarding, promote community building events, support competition, & preserve the history & heritage of the mountain.

Join: for so many reasons, this is One Club Everyone wants to be part of!

News from Jamie at Trail’s End Steakhouse in Eustis Village

October 24, 2020 by WSKI

Prime rib is what they are famous for, but everything on the newly revised menu by Chris looks delicious, so take a drive for lunch or dinner on a chilly Saturday to a place that’s fed sportsmen of all genres for decades! Lots of locals — everyone seems to know everyone else, with the kind of simple cooking done well that is so hard to find. Thursday is ‘2-fer’ night, which includes the prime rib. Good food, fair prices, friendly people.

Welcome to Fotter’s Market & Hardware in downtown Stratton 10 minutes north of the Mtn. Your Local Grocery & Hardware Store!

October 21, 2020 by WSKI

We love Sue & Cub Fotter. Both born & raised in Stratton, their business is TRULY a locally owned, family oriented grocery store. “We value our community and believe in a much more personal and personable approach to business.” A large grocery selection, local produce, high quality local meats, an impressive selection of beer & wine. Takeout orders include the favorite Thanksgiving sandwich (seen here)! There’s also hardware parts and tools. “Whether it’s a squeaking hinge or a plumbing job gone wrong, we guarantee to have something to help you get the job done.” PVC pipe, plungers, WD-40, repair kits, tapes and glues, showerheads, spotlights, screwdrivers, paint scrapers, measuring tape, sawblades, hammers, wrenches, and so much more. “Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you find anything you may need.” EVEN on SUNDAYS!!!

Good or bad, whatever comes our way, Dave & other Town Employees, & our Selectmen/woman are the glue that keeps us all together, & the grease to ensure we’re going forward, too. Thank You, All! http://www.carrabassettvalley.org/
