Glenn Parkinson & Kate Barnes stopped by before Homecoming for an update, & a request for our audience to help them find the original Raichle RED Hot ski boots!! Check your attics. Can’t wait to have the Museum on the Access Road to have another way to give our guests of all ages something to do, while instilling & inspiring the Ski & Snowboard Story we all Live! “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds”

October 23, 2021 by WSKI

But WAIT, how many can say their postwoman gets up at the crack of dawn to go waterskiing before they start their deliveries, and we’re talking May in Maine when she begins her daily zip around Hancock Pond as long as the weather allows!!!!?????!!!!! Charmayne Norton is retiring after over 40 years as Carrabassett’s mail carrier; no easy feat considering the terrain, the weather & trying to keep up with the revolving door of who lives where around here!! How appropriate that a ski town’s mail-woman is passionate about waterskiing! Andy caught her on her 98th morning ride for 2021! Join us in thanking her for decades of deliveries with a smile, Retirement Party at the Outdoor Center Saturday Nov. 6.

TOTAL gratitude & admiration. We owe it all to these guys…….

October 17, 2021 by WSKI

Literally. I, & everyone on the WSKI crew, as well as ALL who work on the Mountain… never mind all the weekend warriors, etc….. NONE of us would be here if not for these Founding Fathers. They are all gone from this earth now; glad we have footage to never forget those who started to make skiing on this mountain possible. May we all hold their values high for this revered Mountain we call Home.
