All year-round, there is plenty of activity north of Sugarloaf, too!  There’s a great variety of dining and services options, Stratton is not only a great place to find excellent home-cooked food and friendly service as you stock up on supplies for your adventures, it’s also a really nice place to spend the day enjoying all there is to see & do at any time of the year!!!!

Stub Taylor in 1996; why we love this man!!

June 10, 2022 by WSKI

Founders’ Night used to be a gathering, originally, of the people who made this mountain a ski area, & in this clip, we share a few words from Stub, who literally was the #1 Man, from kid under Amos’ wing, to cutting trails, heading up Patrol on the most rugged mountain in NE, to his retirement after five decades from being the premier Ski Patroller in the East, Hands Down! He was the BEST teacher to all who worked with him.
Here is more of the Sugarloaf story, from The Man Himself… hilarious. So grateful.

June 1st; hey Snowmakers! Here’s your last piles remaining…

June 1, 2022 by WSKI

Seth said there’d still be snow in June after they wrapped their season in March. He was 100% correct!! Watch all the way thru for the hawk checking out the drone in Bigelow shot! Thanks again to our Snowmakers for another season where their efforts were 100% responsible for our joy! Sidewinder & Stomping Grounds berms & jump piles still hanging, too, cuz TP crew didn’t flatten them. Going to have to go up to let my dog roll in snow again & again …..!
