Simon Rucker recently paid us a visit to share news about the latest endeavors on behalf of the Maine Appalachian Land Trust & others who are devoted to making sure that our mountains, & their wildlife, waters & endless natural wonders, are able to be accessed & appreciated not only by us now, but also the generations to follow, so they, too, can cherish the Maine High Peaks as we do today!!

The legendary Inferno!

March 6, 2015 by WSKI Leave a Comment

Not many races are almost as much fun for spectators as participants, but on a couple crucial downhill corners, the entertainment factor is indeed very high!!
This race from the bottom of King Pine chairlift to the Outdoor Center is not for beginner cross-country skiers, but for every one else with some capacity for skinny skiing, gravity does all the work (mostly!), all you have to do is stand up & steer from time to time!!

Register before 9a.m. Sunday; catch this race 11a.m. start Mar. 8, don’t be late because you forgot the clocks go ahead Saturday night!!!
