We caught up with the Carrabassett Valley Trail Builders to get an update on what’s been done this summer. The mountain bike trails continue to impress year after year. Nothing said Good-bye to the warmer months like the closing of the Golf Course after Homecoming at Sugarloaf! Years ago a typically irreverent “Golf Tournament to Benefit Nobody” was started by Gepetto’s, which was a long-standing occasion for one last summer BBQ & hoorah before preparations began for a new ski season! Plenty of laughs made up for the lack of expertise, with locals & friends from afar joining in the day (weekend!) of awesome scenery & even more awesome camaraderie on the links!
Take a ride! Poplar Mountain ATV Trail
Fall is one of the best times to get out and enjoy the scenery on an ATV. Leaves are changing, the dust is down and the weather is cooler. The Carrabassett Valley ATV club has done tons of work around the valley connecting and maintaining existing trails, building new trails and well as improving sections to better one’s riding experience.
