April 25, 2018 by WSKI Leave a Comment

As the ski tuning starts to wind down and we look ahead at the warmer seasons, it’s time to start thinking of some outdoor adventures. Homage to the demise of the long time Sugarloaf tradition of an Easter Parade…

April 1, 2018 by WSKI Leave a Comment

Used to be a big part of the Easter Holiday’s huge celebration at the Mtn. over the decades; from the adults who started with epic efforts 50 years ago, to the hundreds, probably thousands of kids who participated in the Annual Easter Parade as part of the Mountain Magic activities over the decades…. very sad it has ceased to exist. Congratulations to the Sugarloaf Area Christian Ministry for continuing the Sunrise Services, & in fact, promoting them to greater success than ever, with 523 people riding up the chair at 5:30 this chilly morning! Thank you for keeping Easter at Sugarloaf a tradition for so many families.

We are big fans of those who Walk The Walk here at WSKI, so when we found out about one of our Quebec neighbors undertaking the year long conquest to climb a peak a week in the Eastern Townships & northern New England, we had to track him down to share his adventures with our viewers! Merci beaucoup, Ian, for coming to Carrabassett to tell us all about your feat; we look forward to having you as our guest again to hear what new challenges you meet! Bon chance!
