Jay Reynolds: The Bag Man
Carrabassett Selectman, LONG time Bag & Kettle manager/host/bartender/kitchen helper, & all around great guy, is as much of an institution as the Bag & Kettle itself is at Sugarloaf. Here’s a hint of why this long-time favorite at our Mountain is so: not just the burgers & curly fries & wood-fired pizza, tho’ they certainly are worth a visit… there’s SO much more, including Bloodies & Oysters for Sunday Brunch, oh my!!
The Stratton Plaza, an excellent off mountain destination.
Jeff and Steve stopped by from the Stratton Plaza to fill us in on some of their great new menu items as well as events happening. Just 10 mins north of the Sugarloaf Access Road it’s well worth the short trip. Check out the video to learn more or just head north an see for yourself! [Read more…]
Florida to Maine Ski Flights. NOW you’re talking!!!
You know how we feel sorry for people who don’t get to have Beautiful, Snowy Winters like we do?? Or for the Homesick Snowbird Escapees who can only dream of the ecstasy of skiing ‘cuz it’s too far to drive once they’re committed to the condo for the Florida Winter…? Have we got what they need? Yes, with an exciting partnership that’s been brewing between Elite Airways and the Sugarloaf Inn. They’re Maine’s largest airline & are now offering Ski and Stay packages to guests that are flying up from Florida. On this Saturday morning’s Mountain Report, we welcomed Joe Christopher & John Pearsall to talk about all that they have going on.
May be the first such event; definitely won’t be the last!!
SUGARLOAF TOGETHER: an LGBTQ & Ally Ski Weekend w/ Nightly Theme Parties & Family Friendly Events in partnership with EqualityMaine, is happening this weekend & we were glad to welcome Christopher O’Connor, Development Director, & Gia Drew, Program Director, as our Guests on this morning’s Mountain Report. Based on what we’re hearing, despite the cold, everyone’s having an excellent time! We’re stoked!! If you’re new to the Maine High Peaks & think. holy moley, it’s cold up here, come & visit in the summer, you won’t believe it’s the same place!!! We’d love to share the warm version, too!!
