Mountain Bike Group Rides

July 16, 2025 by WSKI

Group rides are a great way to interact with fellow mountain bikers. Learn new trails, meet new people and discover different lines. Now that summer is in full swing, there are a variety of different rides that happen throughout the week. From Carrabassett down to Kingfield, there’s something for everyone. Grab your bike and join one!

If your on Facebook, CRNEMBA posts the weekly schedule every Monday of the upcoming weeks events. As of now here’s what’s happening:

On Tuesdays a group leaves from the Hostel of Maine located at 3004 Town Line Rd, just off route 27 in Carrabassett Valley. This is an intermediate ride taking advantage of the trails at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center as well as the trails off the Narrow Gauge Pathway and beyond. Post ride drinks can be purchased at the Hostel afterwards.
A group also leaves from Rolling Fatties on Main Street in Kingfield every Thursday. Early season this usually consists of a gravel ride or trails around the town of Kingfield. During peak summer the group heads to Freeman Ridge Bike Park, before heading back to Main street for food and beverages.
Every Friday morning Spinnin’ Sugar, the all women’s group, takes off from the Campbell Field parking area with different levels of riding.
On Sundays the Spinnin’ Sugar group meets at 1pm at Freeman Ridge Bike park for an all abilities, social ride. Take note that Freeman Ridge Bike Park does require a pass or day ticket to ride.

Grab your bike and join the fun!
