“Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds”

October 23, 2021 by nadene

But WAIT, how many can say their postwoman gets up at the crack of dawn to go waterskiing before they start their deliveries, and we’re talking May in Maine when she begins her daily zip around Hancock Pond as long as the weather allows!!!!?????!!!!! Charmayne Norton is retiring after over 40 years as Carrabassett’s mail carrier; no easy feat considering the terrain, the weather & trying to keep up with the revolving door of who lives where around here!! How appropriate that a ski town’s mail-woman is passionate about waterskiing! Andy caught her on her 98th morning ride for 2021! Join us in thanking her for decades of deliveries with a smile, Retirement Party at the Outdoor Center Saturday Nov. 6.
