All year-round, there is plenty of activity north of Sugarloaf, too! There’s a great variety of dining and services options, Stratton is not only a great place to find excellent home-cooked food and friendly service as you stock up on supplies for your adventures, it’s also a really nice place to spend the day enjoying all there is to see & do at any time of the year!!!!
As we continue working mostly from home, it seems to finally be feeling more like spring here in the mountains. February 1st, 2020 was the date for the annual Carrabassett Fat Tire race at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. This year conditions were prime for the 4 lap 20 mile race or the 2 lap 10 mile race. Fatbiking is a great way to enjoy the area with lots of specifically groomed singletrack, snowmobile trails as well as limited riding at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.
