It’s hard to imagine there’s ever been a time without Sugarloaf’s now world famous Reggae Fest, but as it so happens a mere 25 years ago the festival premiered for the very first time. It could hardly be called a festival back then, but today it’s one of the highlights of the year, an annual event every Sugarloafer looks forward to. Reggae Fest goes from April 11-14th this year. For those of you who have never been, we’ve included a video of what you’ve been missing. For those of you all too familiar with Reggae Fest, well, enjoy the flashback.  [Read more…]

2012 Kingfield Pops

August 9, 2012 by nadene Leave a Comment

The Kingfield POPs is an annual event which happens on the last weekend of June. Showcasing the town of Kingfield and the talented musicians, artists and artisans of the Maine High Peaks Region. 2012 was the 10th anniversary of the Kingfield Pops. In celebration they contracted Noel Paul Stooky (of Peter, Paul & Mary fame) to write a song for the event. Cabin Fever Waltz was the result and he did not dissapoint. Watch the video and learn more about this wonderful event. For more information check out kingfieldpops.com
