Reed Brook Falls
Between Kingfield and Carrabassett lies a very special spot. A short .6 mile hike leads you to a spectacular waterfall along Reed Brook which originates from Shiloh Pond and feeds into the Carrabassett river. A local Maine Guide has put lots of work into creating a safe parking area and well maintained trail reroute to maximize the experience of the falls. A great adventure for the whole family. From hiking, biking, swimming, paddling and just enjoying the beautiful landscape around us, CV Recreation Department knows it’s important to get kids outside and able to appreciate what we have right in our big backyard. West Mountain Falls
West Mountain Falls is located on the South Branch of the Carrabassett River just upstream from the Sugarloaf Golf Course. It consists of an easy and short walk through the woods along the river to a wonderful area to hang out and relax, swim, or even fly fish. Carrabassett Valley Mountain Bike Day Camp
While it may not feel like summer outside lately, fingers crossed that the weeks ahead will. We’re looking forward to the mountain bike trails drying out and opening back up. With that, means the annual mountain bike camp brought to you by the town of Carrabassett’s recreation department. We hope things will go as planned this summer and the camp can continue to provide fun, healthy, outdoor activities to both local kids and some from away.
