Tammy Goldfrank & Sue Davis were Guests on WSKI’s Mountain Report to share news of the upcoming Bicentennial in Kingfield & the year full of events being planned to honor such a significant milestone in this beautiful community with a rich history set upon the Carrabassett River against the backdrop of the Maine High Peaks!
On May 23rd the “few and proud” stood tall in their canoes and held the annual Canoe Poling National Championships on the Carrabassett River in New Portland, ME. With the temps forecasted to get into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s over the next couple of days, it’s good to know where to cool off. Here in the western Maine mountains the landscape offers many “cool” spots to find relief from the hot weather.
