The AGC Fun. Fitness. In all weather, for all ages. COVID update Nov. 16

November 16, 2020 by WSKI

A HUGE addition to our Town was the creation of the Anti-Gravity Complex in partnership with Carrabassett Valley Academy, giving our guests a place to enjoy for a variety of activities that people expect to have available at full service destinations, while giving the student athletes of CVA the ability to train using the fully equipped weight room, gym, trampolines, climbing wall, skateboard bowl, etc…. Cold & windy days, especially, it’s a big benefit to have a place for the kids to run off steam…. & the adults, too!!

Irregular is not irregular; it’s Online every Wednesday…

November 11, 2020 by WSKI

“Serving the Western Mountains of Maine…Where the Kids Grow Straight and Tall and the Women are All Good Looking.”

The Original Irregular was a local newspaper that covers the Northern Franklin County region with a circulation of 3,000, close to one-third of subscribers folks “from away” who own hunting, fishing or skiing camps, or who just have a special place in their hearts for the area. We’ve even had some people buy a subscription because they liked the name of the paper!
Where did the name “The Irregular” come from? … Back in 1968 “or thereabouts,” when the mountains were still tall, but the paper small, The Irregular came out “irregularly,” or when the publisher and editor had collected enough ads (or meals and libations in trade) to cover production costs.

Same local news, now exclusively at www.theirregular.com
