Kenny Wing: A REAL Local sharing the history of our backyard..

February 23, 2018 by WSKI Leave a Comment

The Wing family lived with a view of what we call the backside of Bigelow, for four generations before the Flagstaff Village was flooded & the family’s home was forever gone. Kenny was the 5th generation, & first to be born & raised on the shores of what became Maine’s 4th largest lake, where he’s spent his whole life (when not riding his motorcycle across the country). The story of how that happened is related in The Lost Villages of Flagstaff Lake, co-authored by Kenny with Alan Burnell. Find a copy to imagine & appreciate the way this region was before skiing changed the landscape in the other, south side of Bigelow!
