A Unique Natural Feature; Daggett Rock

May 22, 2015 by nadene Leave a Comment

Daggett Rock, located in Phillips is Maine’s largest glacially transported erratic. It’s quite the sight to see and can be reached by an easy .2 mile hike into the woods…

to get to the trailhead, take rt 142 from the center of Kingfield towards Phillips. Once in Phillips turn left onto Wheeler Hill Road. Proceed on this road untill the parking are on your right (plenty of signs). The trail is across from the parking area.
