A windy one in Carrabassett Valley…

February 26, 2019 by WSKI Leave a Comment

Winds reached 171 mph at the top of Mt. Washington on Monday. Winds were high enough here to cause the communications tower at the 4237′ summit to topple over. Woah. So, as you can imagine the lifts are on wind hold and they’ll be some big snowdrifts for the groomers to push through later. There’s still plenty to do off the hill on a day like today. From snowshoeing, cross country skiing or snowmobiling to Bowling, Open Pottery studios, Bar Crawls, hot tubs, Anti Gravity Complex activities and more. Find out more right here at wskitv.com. Here’s some footage from our live show Quad Cam cruising around the mountain this morning..
