Spring Paddling (get it while you can)

April and early May are a great time to take advantage of the melting snow and spring run-off. Many rivers and streams are run-able at this time of year only and also after heavy summer rain, hence the “get it while you can”!
Here’s a quick clip from the North Branch of the Dead River trip (Sarampus Falls to King and Bartlett rd in Northern Franklin county). Shadagee falls is one of three drops you encounter during this section of river. Beware as the water is cold during this time of year, so if you decide to take part be prepared for any situation…
