Basil’s deer; a great opportunity to see them up close!

August 6, 2013 by WSKI Leave a Comment

The deer who have the good fortune to be born near the farm of Basil & Harriet Powers, have been fed since before Harriet was born & grew up in this out-of-the-way location in Coplin Plantation, off Rt. 16 between Stratton & Rangeley. It’s not often you get the chance to see so many deer all at once, never mind so close that you can see their facial expressions! Visitors are welcome, contributions as well, as the cost of feed has sky-rocketed in recent years. In the rat race of society, there’s something very soothing about this daily ritual that has gone on for generations.
