Crocker: a special Place, hopefully Forever!

January 11, 2013 by WSKI Leave a Comment

Wolf Tone of the Trust for Public Land in Maine gives an update on how the fund-raising is going to buy & protect in perpetuity the wilderness of Crocker Mountain & 18,000 acres of its surrounding area down to Orbeton Stream in Phillips. A Crocker Mountain Land Trust project information gathering / ‘friend’ raiser Saturday, January 19, 5:00 – 6:30p.m. at the Rack will be a good place to find out about this huge project! Whether you are a hiker, ATV rider, back-country skier or snowmobiler, this is an important project for our region! If the State of Maine can continue to manage this incredible area once the land can be purchased, it will ensure the land can be valued forever just as we love it now!![flv:WolfTone.flv thumb.jpg 480 360]
