June 19th thru the 24th saw adventure racers from around the globe navigating their way through the Sugarloaf region. Untamed New England is a four day non stop race consisting of mountain biking, orienteering, packrafting, padding, ropes, trekking, whitewater rafting and wilderness navigation. Known as “more an adventure than a race”.
Race headquarters were at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.
This was also the site of a huge transition point where the teams set out for activities such as mountain biking, orienteering and wilderness navagation. On day 2 of the event we were at the Outdoor Center to catch up with some of the event workers, past racers as well as try to catch some of the action.
