The Carrabassett River August 28, 2011

November 15, 2011 by WSKI Leave a Comment

When the Sugarloaf property support manager got a call that there was flooding on the Mountain so he better get to work to see about damage, he had no idea he would not make it to the Mountain that Sunday afternoon! BUT he did have the sense to have a camera on hand for some incredible footage of crazy MONSTER standing waves in a section of the Carrabassett that is normally tranquil, & you could have walked across the river there the day before!!! No wonder we lost two bridges & the ‘S’ turns amidst the deluge that was the remnants of Hurricane Irene! Thanks Pat, for sharing this incredible footage with us!![flv:PatCyrIreneFootage.flv thumb.jpg 480 360]
