Amos Winter's niece on skiing Sugarloaf

July 22, 2011 by nadene Leave a Comment

An old photo of three young women at the top of Narrow Gauge long ago blown up for use by Sugarloaf’s Marketing Department had been on the wall in WSKI for over 20 years in hopes of someday identifying the mystery women! One day this past winter, Joni Blanchard mentioned a gathering of senior Sugarloaf skiers that was being organized by Amanda Murray of Farmington, the niece of Amos Winter, who was one of the faces on that photograph! Much to Nadene’s enormous delight, Amanda was able to join her for a visit during one of our Mountain Report live shows to share memories of early days at Sugarloaf & what great value skiing has had for Amanda for all of her life.
