Unlikely as it may sound, when the Hartford Ballet spent their summers practicing at Sugarloaf, locals who wouldn’t know a tutu from a tip-toe came to appreciate the talents of these professionals! With free performances in the Courtyard that introduced us to a world of dance & beauty that wasn’t exactly part of our Carrabassett Valley lifestyle, the comraderie that ensued (mainly at Gepetto’s!!) was another time when fun memories were created between our cultured ballet friends from the city, & us… kinda not a bit of either, but common bond was surely formed: great time at the Mtn. (& the Valley for this softball game!).

Get out on Flagstaff Lake!
