Take a Hike! Larry’s Loop

Nestled within the woods of Carrabassett Valley lies a wonderful natural feature known as Poplar Stream Falls. The falls can be reached a variety of ways, including via a loop hike on the Maine Huts and Trails trail system. This hike is perfect for all abilities and can also be a great snowshoe in the winter months. Mountain Biking in Carrabassett; Narrow Gauge Singletrack

If you’re coming up to Carrabassett Valley and like to mountain bike you need to check out the trails in the area. The past few years the mountain bike scene has exploded thanks to the construction of miles and miles of both hand built and machine built single-track trails. There is truly something for everyone here in Carrabassett.
If you’re looking for an easy introduction to the mountain bike trails, a great spot to check out is the Narrow Gauge single-track. Easy to get to from the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, they are a ton of fun! Check out the video to see more! [Read more…]
