From the Archives; a reminder that Fall is a great time to visit the Mountains!

August 31, 2016 by WSKI Leave a Comment

Labor Day this weekend; the end of summer is nigh! Fall is a wicked nice time of the year in the mountains. The SuperQuad operates on weekends (weather permitting) as the gondi used to run daily during the foliage season; pic of Rosemary Drosky at mid-station on the way down in 1987. Sugarloaf’s first ever trail running race, The Flume.

August 23, 2016 by WSKI Leave a Comment

On Saturday, Snowfields Productions’ Andy G. was there to shoot the Flume Trail Running Race on the Mtn. Talk about an event made for our kind of fun outdoors competition! Both a 5K and 10K option for this backcountry foot race through the Sugarloaf Nordic Trail network went off with a Shotgun Start at 10:00AM and loads of runners entered who celebrated with a complimentary finish-line beer and a buffet and afternoon of music! Let’s hope this is the start of MANY more such summer events at Sugarloaf!
