We had to break our old studio set to pieces to have repairs done following our flooded studio four weeks ago, but the temporary set-up was fine to offer our viewers the news & info they expect from WSKI as we kicked off live shows every weekend from now till Reggae. All are streaming live 7:30-9am Sat. & Sun. at wskitv.com in addition to airing on Spectrum’s channel 17 locally.
37-46 minutes into the recording is our interview with Adam Craig who is leading the downhill mountain bike development at Sugarloaf. Adam is a professional mountain biker originally from Corinth, Maine, & educated at the University of Maine. 18-time U.S. national champion in MTB and cyclocross and a former Olympic team member, this past summer’s Enduro event with competitors from all over the world here, was beyond excellent. We are fortunate to have him on our hill!!
Second guest was Félix Guèvremont from 1:07 through 1:12, to share with us an exciting event coming to our region next summer, the International Piopolis – Carrabassett Valley Triathlon. The only triathlon in North America that crosses the Canada-US border during the bike course. The lake surrounded by mountains, the rolling roads of Maine, the beauty of the Narrow Gauge Pathway for a quick run at the base of Sugarloaf. This international event takes place on two recognized tourist routes, the Summit Drive (Route des Sommets) and the Maine High Peaks Scenic Byway for a much-desired beginning of interconnection between Canada and the United States.
