CanoeSki Race

November 23, 2020 by WSKI

Chip Carey is one of this year’s Maine Ski & Snowboard Museum inductees whose recognition for his contribution to Maine skiing was long overdue.

He was also who started WSKI TV & hired me in 1980. No stone was ever left unturned finding ways to gain publicity for our Mountain & our Sport, so as Boss, he was a hard task master, but a brilliant marketing guy to work under & with throughout his years at Sugarloaf. He moved on to American Ski Company’s top marketing position & continues to contribute his expertise to resorts across the USA.

From running events, to creating attention grabbing campaigns, we were fortunate to have this man at the helm of Marketing our Mtn. for the many years he called Sugarloaf home. I was even more lucky to have him as my Boss before we took over WSKI ownership after Bankruptcy in 1986!  Best Boss Ever for his mentorship & friendship. Thank you C2.
