Here’s a Local with Stories to Tell!

Fred Townsend literally helped create the resort of Sugarloaf in its earliest days, as a local guy, whose Dad took care of the Coburn Gore Rd (that was a very rugged route to Canada in those days). They lived in that remote & beautiful wilderness, which is a great way to grow up TRULY outdoors!! Hard working, handy with anything as necessary, & always w/ a wicked good sense of humor, Fred’s got the best stories about life here in the Maine High Peaks (& beyond; he’s done the cross the country motorcycle journey several times!).
