Kingfield 10K

Though this event no longer happens, the Kingfield 10 K which Sugarloaf ran through the 1980s & ’90s, was a popular race run by many locals in addition to serious runners from away. The favorable terrain, clean air & enormous support from the cheering spectators along the town’s streets, made the 10 K a big event back in those days, as you can see in this glimpse back, believed to be mid-later 1980s.
