We’re pretty proud of the fact that we have a lot of champions who get their start on the slopes of Sugarloaf Mtn!!!! If you could grow up dreaming of snowboarding around the world, wouldn’t it be beyond your wildest dreams to have the best in the world be your personal mentor? The Best is two-time Olympic gold medal winner in Boardercross, Seth Wescott, a graduate of Carrabassett Valley Academy at Sugarloaf; the local who is on his heels is Alex Tuttle from Stratton, 20yrs. old & also a graduate of the Academy thanks to tremendous support from the school & the community! Alex won the 2008 USASA nationals in Boardercross, and finished 3rd at the Junior World Championships in the summer of 2010. Homecoming weekend at Sugarloaf in Oct. 2011 was an opportunity to have both Seth & Alex be our Guests on the Mountain Report at WSKI. GOOD LUCK in the season ahead to both of these fantastic guys who represent Maine with pride!!! We love you!!!!!
